John Landis' 'Schlock' Invades Theaters This September

Mark your calendars! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see John Landis' first feature film Schlock on the big screen!

Before An American Werewolf in London, there was Schlock. The annual Art House Theater Day has announced that they will be giving Landis’ 1973 film a limited theatrical release in over 150 theaters this September 23rd. Featuring a new 4K restoration from AGFA. Shot over 12 days and featuring a run time of 80 minutes, Schlock is a widely unseen and unknown film that also helped launch the career of one of the best SFX artists cinema has ever known, Rick Baker. Schlock is the outrageous missing link between the creature features of yesteryear and its creator's celebrated career. "Carnage! Terror! Banana skins! The body count is rising…but when Schlock encounters a kindly blind woman who sees beyond his grotesque visage, the homicidal simian is presented with a chance at redemption…”
