House Of Torment Reveals Their Haunted Attractions For The 2018 Halloween Season

House of Torment, a pioneer in “haunted” entertainment, has spine-tingling themed attractions for the 2018 Halloween season featuring an otherworldly indoor/outdoor full-service bar with a VIP lounge, as well as new, immersive experiences onsite.

This year’s attractions will offer more terrifying storylines, all-new outdoor games, an expanded store with a Kreepville 666 clothing line pop-up shop, a revamped food menu and enhanced safety features.

“A high-quality haunted house is about shared, out-of-the-ordinary experiences with an amplified adrenaline rush,” Jon Love, a partner at parent company Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, said. “We know Austinites are curious, engaged and up for anything, which is why we’re trying a lot of new and exciting things here first.”

Haunts This year’s House of Torment is enhancing the immersive experience for attendees with three haunted attractions with new storylines, “Blackthorne Penitentiary,” “Darkest Dreams” and “Trick or Treat.” Additionally, three stand-alone “mini-escape rooms,” Halloween-themed carnival games such as “Zombie Brain Smash,” and an expanded Scare Store, including a Kreepsville 666 clothing line pop-up shop, will entertain visitors. More than 100 costumed actors will roam the site for an extra thrill.

Spirits House of Torment will offer a full-service, haunted library-themed bar called Torment Tavern, including a “Platinum VIP” lounge and a new food menu. The bar will also feature two new signature cocktails, Jekyll’s Old Bloody Fashion and Hyde’s Madness, served in lighted House of Torment souvenir cups, as well as a House of Torment pumpkin ale in partnership with 4th Tap Brewing.

Safety In an abundance of caution, the House of Torment has added two new metal detectors at entrances with bag checks, in addition to numerous metal detector wands, to ensure guests can safely escape into the fantasy of fear.

The Austin location of House of Torment—a 40,000 square foot facility located at 2632 Ridgepoint Drive, near U.S. Highways 290 & 183—is a leader in the entertainment industry, and it is the creative heart of the company. Known nationally for innovating, psychologically thrilling experiences, it features a permanent technical and creative staff, and it is a laboratory for new ideas for the organization’s haunts nationwide. It also houses four Mindspark escape rooms open year-round.

The House of Torment 2018 season opens to the public on September 21st and runs through November 10th. Tickets start at $19.99 per person. For more information, including descriptions of the haunts, visit www.HouseOfTorment.com.
