Tickets are now on sale for a Special Screening of the Award-Winning Horror Anthology Feature film Muerte: Tales of Horror at 7 p.m. Saturday, October 13th, at the Galaxy Theater Highland 10, 6700 Middle Fiskville Road in Austin.
The film centers around four tales of horror presented by a stolen comic from a Mexican Curio shop that features tales of vampires, witches, demons and the titular Hispanic boogeyman El Cucuy. The film was shot in Corpus Christi by director Christopher Ambriz and his crew starting in 2016.
Muerte: Tales Of Horror features local Austin actors Priscilla Iden and Tara Allen.
The films in the anthology are Mirror, El Cucuy, The Date and Muerte. Each film carries over from the next film, and has its own distinct South Texas flavor.
Muerte: Tales of Horror is filled to brim with fun loving horror scenarios and handcrafted practical effects sure to please horror fans. The film was featured at the South Texas Underground Film Festival in Corpus Christi and was awarded best local film by the festival. It has played a limited theatrical run in sold out shows in Corpus Christi and San Antonio.

About Christopher Ambriz (Director)
Christopher Ambriz is an award-winning independent filmmaker based out of Corpus Christi. He has produced many projects for his company Night Creature Productions since it was founded by he and Louis Alvarado in 1998.
Ambriz and company have produced many documentaries, commercials, music videos and films such as Dark Blood (2000), Faceless (2001), One Dark Night (2007), Pen (2011), El Cucuy (2012), The Night Before (2014) and The Date: A Tale of Love, Horror and Revenge (2016).
Ambriz began making short horror films with his friends and family when he was 13. He also is a self-taught special make-up effects artist learning from old Fangoria magazines, Tom Savini's Grand Illusion books and other make-up instruction books.
Ambriz has a genuine love for horror and sci-fi films from the 70s and 80s, which have been huge influences to his filmmaking style. Ambriz is a Communications Specialist at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and a former Professional Photojournalist for KIII-TV3, the local ABC affiliate in Corpus Christi.
