The Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center and Blanket Fort Entertainment have announced three special Halloween performances of the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival breakout hit Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Nominated for six HFF Awards including Best Comedy, winner of the 2CentsTheatre Award for Distinctive Voices, and winner of the SoHo Playhouse (NYC) Fringe Encore Series Award, this genre-bending thriller returns to the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Davidson/Valentini Theatre on October 29th, 30th, and 31st.
Written and performed by Burt Grinstead and Anna Stromberg, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde is a dizzying, fast-paced, horrifying and hilarious extravaganza that leaves the audience questioning its own morality. Based on "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," the classic novella by Robert Louis Stevenson, this new adaptation takes place on the dismal streets of London in the 1860s, where societal pressures silence a gentle doctor’s questions about the nature of morality. As the pressure intensifies, Dr. Jekyll takes matters into his own hands. Will his efforts save the world, or will they destroy all that he holds dear? After all, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
The Halloween performances of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde are on Monday, October 29th, Tuesday, October 30th, and Wednesday, October 31st, at 8pm. On Monday, tickets for students with valid ID are $10 and there will be a post-play chat with Grinstead and Stromberg. On Halloween night, a $100 gift card will be awarded to the audience member judged to be wearing the best costume.

It will then go to Wilmington, North Carolina on November 10th, to be a part of Cucalorus Stage and Film Festival at Thalian Hall (310 Chestnut St, Wilmington, NC 28401)
Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde will also be performing in the ‘Best of All Fests’ Fringe Encore Series at the SoHo Playhouse in New York City December 6th – 15th. Tickets are $39 and available now at www.sohoplayhouse.com.
