[Blu-ray Review] 'Lionheart' From MVD Rewind Collection

Lionheart MVD Rewind Blu-ray Review

A soldier in the French Foreign Legion, Leon Gaultier (Jean-Claude Van Damme), is serving abroad in East Africa. But after his brother is murdered in a drug deal gone wrong, Leon deserts the legion and sails to the United States to help his widowed sister-in-law, Helene (Lisa Pelikan), who is now destitute and scraping by to take care of her child. Just as he gets to the states, he finds a pay phone to contact Helene. However, with no money, the operator quickly dismisses him. Just as he hangs up the phone, he glances to the left, and conveniently sees an underground fight club gathered under the overpass for the entertainment. And with a chin, and fists, and kicks like Van Damme, who is he to let you down? This begins our journey into the underground fighting world. To make some money and get to/take care of Helene, Leon must fight. Will Leon survive the brutal bare-knuckle circuit and make it back to his sister? Order MVD Rewind's release of Lionheart to find out.
