As an avid fan of Nine Inch Nails, I always love hearing the scores that Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross create, and their most recent score is, quite honestly, one of the best aspects of Netflix's new original film, Bird Box.
The score is currently available for purchase from the NIN store ahead of it's streaming release on January 25th, with a physical release is also planned for the near future. Today, Reznor and Ross have debuted a 13-minute track from the score, titled “Outside.”
“We created a significant amount of music and conceptual sound for Bird Box, a lot of which never made it to your ears in the final version of the film,” Reznor said in a recent statement. “We’ve decided to present you with this version of the soundtrack record that represents what Bird Box is to us.”
He continued, “For those interested, we will be releasing a more expansive physical-only offering this Spring that will contain an additional hour of music and artwork that colors further outside the lines. Lots coming in 2019.”
