We're very saddened to report that Rigor Mortis and Warbeast frontman Bruce Corbitt has passed away today, Friday, January 25th, following an 18-month battle with esophageal cancer. He was 56 years old.
Corbitt was diagnosed back in May of 2017 and the cancer progressed to Stage 4 by the beginning of 2018. But Corbitt was accepted into a clinical trial for a new kind of treatment and his body seemed to be reacting well, even allowing him to perform live with Warbeast one last time in July. Sadly, things took a turn for the worse and by the end of last year, he announced that he had entered hospice.
