Even though it was just released last week, it's rather safe to say that Resident Evil 2 is one of the best horror gaming experiences of 2019 and possibly quite, the history of gaming. Regardless of being a remake, the game was completely rebuilt from the ground up, retaining the best qualities of the '90s classic while improving every other aspect.
Some fans may be wondering if Capcom will be giving 1999's Resident Evil 3: Nemesis the same treatment. Well, the answer is, if there's enough demand, it's certainly possible!
In a chat with Game Watch, Resident Evil 2 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi stated that the reason the remake happened is because fans were so hungry for it, and suggests that RE 3 could possible follow suit. “The reason why [Resident Evil 2] became a remake was because the fans continued to send a love call saying ‘I want you to make a remake’ for 21 year. If I hear that [there’s as much demand for Resident Evil 3], I think that will be the starting point for us.”
So there you have it, if you want it bad enough, you just might get it!
