Upcoming Blu-ray Release Of Cronenberg's 'Rabid' Includes Audio Commentary With The Sosk

Rabid 101 Films Soska Commentary

Ahead of the Jen and Sylvia Soska's remake, 101 Films have announced a Limited Edition Blu-ray release of Rabid, the enduringly tense and gruesome horror that marked a landmark in David Cronenberg’s early career.

Coincidentally, the release will feature an audio commentary track with the "Twisted Twins", as well as a 2K scan from the original camera negative at director Cronenberg’s preferred aspect ratio (1.66:1) and a shit ton of extra features, including Part 1 of a new feature length documentary on Canadian horror films.

In the 1977 film, "When Rose (Marilyn Chambers) suffers terrible injuries in a motorcycle crash, she is taken to a nearby clinic run by Dr Keloid for experimental skin-graft surgery. At first, the revolutionary procedure proves successful, but it soon leaves Rose with a strange orifice protruding from her armpit and an insatiable thirst for human blood. Hell-bent on satisfying her bloodlust, Rose leaves a trail of insane and uncontrollably aggressive victims, as the unknown virus engulfs North America in an orgy of frenetic violence."

This Limited Edition release is street dated for August 26th, be sure to pre-order your copy today!
