Even though it's lacking Mario as a main protagonist, the Luigi's Mansion series has amassed quite a massive fan base in its nearly-two decades of existence, and fans can look forward to getting their hands on the third entry this Halloween!
Announced by Nintendo on Twitter, Luigi’s Mansion 3 will arrive on the Nintendo Switch on October 31st, 2019.
The game has Luigi, Mario, Princess Peach, and a group of Toads heading on vacation to a luxurious hotel. However, the vacation is simply a plot by King Boo to capture Mario and his friends. With the help of Professor E. Gadd and the new Poltergust G-00, it’s up to Luigi to save them.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 follows its predecessor by six years (2013’s Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, although that was on the 3DS) and that followed the original, a GameCube launch title, by a dozen years.
