Obsidian, the new alternative for the underground of Northwest Ohio, isn’t keeping their latest event under wraps. On August 7th, the Wednesday night tradition welcomes DJ PhoeniXXX from Pittsburgh, PA to the decks, alongside resident DJs Darks Choir (The iNation), Havok (The iNation, Broken Glass), and Audioflesh (Glitch Mode Recordings, The iNation). The freak flags will fly high, as the kink-friendly PhoeniXXX looks to shake up the dance floor of the two-decade-long leader of this region’s dark alternative scene.
DJ PhoeniXXX has been an integral part of the underground scene since 2006, as a DJ, model, and producer. As founder of the Black Bat Society, PhoeniXXX oversees events such as the annual Pittsburgh Bondage Ball, which has raised thousands in proceeds towards breast cancer research in past years. His residencies have included Ceremony, Club Zoo, and Quorum, in addition to countless guest appearances at The iNation over the years. His blend of dark electronic music is sure to get the dance floor going on this night, and will leave patrons, well… fit to be tied.
Obsidian takes place every Wednesday night at Liquid Bar, located at 238 N. Main Street in Bowling Green, OH. Any goth, cyberpunk, or alternative attire is encouraged, especially any bondage gear, given the special event. Doors open at 9pm, with a $2 power hour going on from 9-10pm. For this event, cover for 18+ will be $5, while cover for 21+ will be just $2.
