Following its surprise announcement at this year's E3, we haven't heard or seen much about Bloober Team's upcoming Blair Witch video game. Lucky for us, that changes today!
Game Informer have shared around 10 minutes of in-development gameplay footage for us to check out. As you can see in the footage, the flashlight is a key gameplay mechanic, much like the camera in Outlast and its sequel.
Also featured in the gameplay is your dog, Bullet, who will help you track down a missing boy deep in the Maryland wilderness. Best of all, you can pet him!
According to the official blurb, it's set in 1996, and casts players as Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, investigating the disappearance of a young boy in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland. "What starts as an ordinary investigation," we're told, "soon turns into an endless nightmare as you confront your fears and the Blair Witch, a mysterious force that haunts the woods..."
There's not much more to report at the moment, except that the game is due out on Xbox One and PC on August 30th.
