Announced back in March, Nightdive’s remaster of Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is arriving on the Nintendo Switch in just over a week, as a posting on the UK Nintendo eShop has confirmed that Turok 2 will be launching on the Switch on August 9th.
Taking place after the events of the first game, after defeating the Campaigner, Turok throws the Chronocepter into a waiting volcano to destroy it. Unfortunately, the blast awakens an even deadlier force – The Primagen. Once again a Turok is tasked with restoring peace to the land and stopping the Primagen from merging Earth with the nether world.
The game promises to offer up 35 different enemies to fight and 20 different weapons to fight with, as well as 6 new worlds to explore! Of course, that's not too impressive by today's gaming standards, but those features were quite impressive back in October of 1998.
With this game being one of my favorites on N64 back in the day, I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up on a current console.
Turok 2: Seeds of Evil will arrive on the Nintendo Switch with a price tag of $19.99.
