It was announced earlier today that Society and Bride of Re-Animator director Brian Yuzna will be hosting a special screening of the Barbara Crampton-starring supernatural horror flick Reborn on Saturday, September 14th at 11:45pm at Hollywood’s Arena Cinelounge.
The special movie night event is a theatrical pre-view to Vertical Entertainment’s DVD, Digital and On Demand release on September 17th.
Directed by Julian Richards (The Last Horror Movie), Reborn was filmed on location in Hollywood, and is a contemporary Frankenstein story about a stillborn baby girl brought back to life by an electrical storm before being abducted from hospital by a morgue attendant. On her sixteenth birthday, empowered with the gift to manipulate electricity, she escapes her captor and sets out to find her birth mother leaving a trail of destruction behind her.
The film aso stars Michael Pare, Chaz Bono, Rae Dawn Chong, Monte Markham and Kayleigh Gilbert.
Described as "a nostalgic celebration of classic paranormal horror," Reborn has been selected to screen at over 40 festivals worldwide and has won several awards including Best Sci-Fi Feature at Another Hole In The Head, Best Horror Feature at Mad Monster Party and Best Director at Fantasporto.
