As the bewitching hour of release draws closer, The Duke of Spook and his devilish ghouls known collectively as Wednesday 13, have debuted the ghastly title track today from their highly-anticipated new album, Necrophaze, that’s due out September 27th from Nuclear Blast Records.
The track, featuring the king of shock rock Alice Cooper, definitely gives off a Creepshow vibe, a film that Wednesday credits as a huge inspiration on the album and his personal love for the horror genre.
"The title track Necrophaze is one of my favorites on the new album, and not just because it features my shock rock hero Alice Cooper. Alice helps deliver the first brutal axe swing on this album, starting the record off and getting the blood flowing immediately," said Wednesday. "I like to compare Necrophaze to the movie Creepshow, as if every song is a different part of the story. This is the first part of the story and it cuts straight to the bone. Enter the Necrophaze."
