Earlier this year, Note for Note music released Richard Stone's soundtrack for Stan Winston's classic creature feature Pumpkinhead on CD, and thankfully, the company has now announced they'll be bringing it to vinyl for the very first time later this year!
The release, now up for pre-order, is limited to 300 copies and is pressed on translucent "Pumpkin" orange LPs.
Note for Note Music details, "The score by Richard Stone is melodic and authentic, a mix of acoustic instruments and country rhythms. Stone went on to become what many called the heir to Carl Stalling. The world lost a true talent when Stone passed away in 2001 at the very young age of 47. Originally released for the first time as part of Varese Sarabande’s 'Little Box Of Horrors' set, we decided to reissue this with a stunning graphic design by composer Edwin Wendler. The master source was taken directly from tape and sounds wonderful."
"We hope you love this release as much as we do!"
The album was digitally edited and mastered by James Nelson at Digital Outland (Tacoma, WA) and features liner notes by Edwin Wendler.
You can pre-order yours today for $29.99 and expect it to arrive in November!
