Marilyn Manson has this week released his cover of The Doors' classic 1967 track "The End," which was recorded in collaboration with Shooter Jennings for the upcoming Stephen King miniseries "The Stand" from CBS All Access. Manson will also star in the series.
The song's accompanying visuals were created by Zev Deans and based on an original watercolor painting by Manson. Check it out below!
If you saw Manson during "The Twins Of Evil" tour with Rob Zombie this past summer, you have already heard this track, as it was played over the PA system at the end of his performances.
"The End" is the second cover released by Manson in recent months, as last month, he released a Tim Mattia-directed video for his take on the classic American folk song "God’s Gonna Cut You Down".
Manson and Jennings have been working on the shock rocker's new studio album, tentatively due in early 2020. The album will feature guitarist Paul Wiley and former Doyle and Black Flag drummer Brandon Pertzborn.
"The End" is currently available to purchase as a digital single, while a limited edition picture vinyl (pictured below) is now up for pre-order for release on March 6th, 2020. Only 2,000 units were produced.
You can see Marilyn Manson on the road next year with Ozzy Osbourne for the "No More Tours 2" tour.
