[Trailer] 'Maneater' Takes A Bite Out Of Consoles And PC In May 2020

Maneater Game Console PC Release Date

I absolutely loved the 2006's Jaws Unleashed back in the heyday of Xbox and PlayStation 2. The action-adventure game placed you in control of the iconic shark, allowing you to wreak havoc on Amity Island. Ever since then, I've been begging for a similar game but for modern consoles. Well, publisher and developer Tripwire Interactive has now partnered with Deep Silver to do just that!

Maneater is an action-RPG where you play as a shark (aka ShARkPG) that's headed to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via the Epic Games Store) on May 22nd, 2020! Maneater invites players to experience the ultimate power fantasy as the apex predator of the seas.

In the game, players must fight to survive as a baby bull shark. Grow in power as you explore a wide range of underwater environments, from swamps and rivers to beachside resorts and the deep blue sea. Your only tools are your wits, your jaws, and the uncanny ability to evolve as you feed. Eat, explore, and evolve the ultimate killing machine in Maneater!

Today’s announcement follows the exclusive debut of the latest Maneater trailer featured on last night's Game Awards 2019 show. This new trailer (seen below) features never-before-seen gameplay and locations with narration by actor Chris Parnell ("Saturday Night Live", "Rick and Morty", "Archer", "30 Rock").

"We continue to be blown away by the interest and excitement fans have for Maneater," said John Gibson, CEO and Co-owner of Tripwire Interactive. "Today we're happy to announce this unique ShARkPG experience is coming to all major console platforms, and we're excited to be partnering with Deep Silver to land this big shark on consoles worldwide!"

Tripwire Interactive and Deep Silver also announced the Tiger Shark Adaptation for players who pre-order the game with participating retail partners. Like the tiger shark, often called the "Garbage Can of the Ocean," this evolution allows players to digest nearly anything, increasing your ability to gain vital nutrients from your prey.

Be sure to visit the official website and follow the Maneater team on Twitter and Facebook for the latest news and updates!
