Amerika ist wunderbar…
The social media pages of industrial metal’s finest, Rammstein, hinted at a potential tour of North America in a post yesterday. Several cities spanning the entire region marked as potential stops. Assuming this tour comes to fruition, it would be the German band's first in the US since 2017, and their first US dates since the release of their self-titled seventh album last May. Said album was a top 10 smash for the band, the first in their twenty-five year history.
The highlighted regions in the band's post include California, Illinois, Minnesota, Texas, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Quebec, and Mexico City. The message reads, "Get ready, Amerika!" a callback to the song "Amerika" from their 2004 album Reise, Reise.
Nothing more has been announced, but given the aforementioned lack of Rammstein stateside, a teaser is definitely worth the wait.
Lead singer Till Lindemann will be on the road across the Atlantic with his eponymous solo project from February 4th through March 23rd. The band proper is hitting the road with across Europe this summer, beginning in Klagenfurt, Austria on May 25th. The schedule runs through mid-August, meaning a North American leg likely won't happen until the fall.
