Uncle Al comes through once again.
To celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the legendary album The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, Ministry has announced a new tour, called “Industrial Strength.” The album in question brought us instant classics like “Thieves” and “Burning Inside,” and carved out the band’s legacy at the tail end of the Eighties and beyond. Where glam rock died, Ministry and their compatriots realized that a post-Reagan America wasn’t all hookers and blow, and weren’t afraid to pipe up about it, either.
To borrow a line from Pantera, though, the lineup is strength beyond strength, as KMFDM, who put out the fantastic album Paradise (read my review) last year, and Front Line Assembly, who put out the stellar Wake Up the Coma in 2019, are supporting Al Jourgensen and his merry band of industrial metallers.
Kicking off in Seattle’s Showbox SoDo, the tour stretches across the US, with twenty-five dates between July 1 and August 1. KMFDM has announced their presale code, but fear not, as the general public can start purchasing tickets at 10am this Friday, January 17th. Check out the full list of dates below, and put out that fire that surely must be “Burning Inside.”
