Salem Horror Fest 2020 Takes Over Witch City On October 1st

Salem Horror Fest 2020 October 1st

Remember yesterday, when I wrote about the upcoming "Women with Guts" conference and said that I wouldn't be talking about Salem Horror Fest for a few more months? Well, I guess I lied...

Today, the festival has revealed that it'll be returning to the witchy city on October 1st to October 11th, 2020.

Tickets are on sale now, and more details regarding Salem Horror Fest 2020 are expected to be announced in the near future.

At this time, however, we do know that esteemed drive-in movie critic and journalist Joe Bob Briggs will be on hand for his live presentation of How Rednecks Saved Hollywood on Saturday, October 10th.

"Spend a fast-and-furious two hours with America’s drive-in movie critic as he uses over 200 clips and stills to review the history of rednecks in America as told through the classics of both grindhouse and mainstream movies."

Salem Horror Fest is one of the premiere annual celebrations of our beloved horror genre that takes place in the Halloween-capital of the world: Salem, Massachusetts. Previous guests include Cassandra Peterson (Elvira), John Kassir (The Crypt Keeper from "Tales from the Crypt"), Linnea Quigley (Return of the Living Dead) and many more.

The festival also presents a program of repertory screenings, with previous years including modern favorites and cherished classics like Attack the Block, John Carpenter’s The Thing, Trick r’ Treat, Tremors, 28 Days Later, The Blair Witch Project, and on, and on.

Stay tuned to Crypt Teaze and keep an eye on the festival's Facebook event page for future announcements.
