Salem Horror Fest To Host Immersive Screenings Of 'Prom Night', 'Prince Of Darkness'

Salem Horror Fest Immersive Screenings Prince of Darkness Prom Night

This October's Salem Horror Fest is already shaping up to be a real doozy, as we've already reported on Joe Bob Briggs being on hand for a special presentation of How Rednecks Saved Hollywood, and we've now learned of some very cool "immersive screenings" of classic horror films that'll be held during the nearly-2 week celebration of all things horror!

First up, Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight and John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness will both be fittingly screened inside the walls of an actual former church, with the former celebrating its 25th anniversary. A 40th anniversary immersive screening of the original Prom Night will also be held, allowing attendees to dress up in prom attire and see the classic slasher in an actual high school dance setting!

In addition to these immersive screenings, a 35th anniversary screening of Dario Argento and Lamberto Bava's splatter classic Demons will be held, as well as 60th anniversary screenings of both the original 13 Ghosts and House of Usher, with Victoria Price in attendance for the latter.

Salem Horror Fest 2020 runs from October 1 – October 11, 2020 in Salem, Massachusetts.

In the meantime, the festival will be hosting a special "Women with Guts" conference this May.
