Angelspit and Gasoline Invertebrate Set to Play Darkotica's Quaran-Stream Event This Thursday

Our friends at Darkotica in Cincinnati, OH, where our own Stephen Eckstein (Stephen29) is a resident DJ, has had substantial success with switching up the format of their longstanding club night to a digital streaming format. Granted, we wish it were under more controlled circumstances, but there is something to be said about adapting and overcoming. Throughout the age of Pandemia, they’ve hosted a number of acts, including Pigface as part of the “Stay the Fuck Inside” virtual tour, Stoneburner, and the tag-team of Shiv-R and Amelia Arsenic. This Thursday, however, Darkotica has a couple of aces up their sleeves.

Angelspit and Gasoline Invertebrate will be playing on this week’s stream, which will be boosted by resident DJs Nightpain and our own Stephen29. The stream begins at 9pm EST and can be found on Darkotica’s Twitch channel.

Angelspit are something of electronic music veterans, best known for club hits such as “100%” and “Paint Hell Red.” Blending elements of horror, punk, and EBM, the band has gained quite the following since their 2003 inception. Their most recent album, The Ignorance Cartel, is available now through the band’s Black Pill Red Pill label.

Gasoline Invertebrate is a side project of longtime EBM mainstays The Gothsicles. Headed by Brian Graupner, the “industrial waste product” released their newest album Damage Over Time back in May of this year via Tigersquawk Records. GI also has appearances on the last two installments of Electronic Saviors, a longstanding compilation album collection which raises money in the fight against all forms of cancer.
