Ahead of the game's release later this year, publisher Ultimate Games and developer RG Crew have released not only a new gameplay video for their survival horror game Anthology of Fear, but also a free prologue chapter on Steam!
Anthology of Fear is a first-person horror game that provides a unique approach to the genre by featuring three completely different stories that can be treated as three smaller games in one. Players will take on the role of three heroes and guide their actions through horrifying situations.
"Each of the three stories are different - of course there also different characters, time periods, and so on," stated director and chief designer Hubert Zatorski. "The player thus receives three smaller games in one. Each of the will provide different experiences. Our game will be diverse and ambiguous. It won't be any problem for fans of the series Silent Hill and Outlast to find themselves in Anthology of Fear. The same goes for titles in the style of Layers of Fear, Alan Wake, or even Hunt: Showdown."
The free prologue serves as story introduction to the first of three completely unique dark stories from the full version of the game. It's a standalone short game which will show you one of several unique experiences.
Anthology of Fear is slated to release on PC and Nintendo Switch in the second half of 2020. A release on other platforms is also a possibility.
