Arnold Schwarzenegger's Dutch Returns to the Jungle in Upcoming 'Predator: Hunting Grounds' DLC

Predator Hunting Grounds Dutch Arnold Schwarzenegger DLC

After launching on PlayStation 4 and PC last month, Illfonic and Sony have revealed the first pieces of DLC for their asymmetric multiplayer game Predator: Hunting Grounds, which will bring Arnold Schwarzenegger's Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer back to the jungle!

Entertainment Weekly reports the DLC will continue Dutch’s story and that Schwarzenegger recorded voice lines for a series of cassette tapes that players will find in the game! This will mark Dutch's first return to the Predator franchise since the 1987 original film!

The site details, "Starting May 26, players will be able to purchase a DLC that allows gamers to play as Dutch, one of the new Fireteam members, while narration recorded by Schwarzenegger will help shed light on what the character has been up to since the events of director John McTiernan’s original film."

"The premise of it is [Dutch] recorded these tapes since ’87 after the first movie," says Jared Gerritzen, Chief Creative Officer at IllFonic. "Throughout these tapes, there are those arrows [pointing to] what he’s doing, kind of like safeguards if he gets killed or captured. These tapes are gonna be used to essentially keep his story going."

The paid DLC pack also gives players early access to the QR5 "Hammerhead" Rifle and Dutch’s Knife! (available free for all players later in June)

Illfonic also shared a roadmap that teases the content headed to Predator: Hunting Grounds in the coming months. Each month will feature free and paid DLC, with the free updates introducing new weapons, game modes, and more. The paid DLC will give players access to more themed character packs.
