Black Sabbath Partners With Dr. Martens for Album-Inspired Collection of Boots

Fairies wear boots, and as luck would have it, so can you.

Dr. Martens has announced a collaboration with the godfathers of heavy metal themselves, Black Sabbath, as the band celebrates fifty years of the genre they more or less founded. The English boot company is also celebrating its sixty years of footwear, with their signature Air Wair line debuting in 1960. As such, this partnership marks major milestones for both parties involved in this meeting of hard rock minds.

Pairing with master craftsman Keith “Keef” McMillan, the collection will feature two different sets of boots, portraying the album artwork for both their debut self-titled album and the iconic Paranoid, both of which were released in 1970 to much fanfare. The Black Sabbath set will be an eight-eyelet pair of high-tops, showing the ominous photo of the woman standing in front of Oxfordshire’s Mapledurham Watermill. The three-eyelet Paranoid set will bear the album’s iconic artwork, with the “War Pigs” soldier near the ankle of the boot.

The collection is set to drop tomorrow, October 1st. For more information and to sign up to be notified when the collection drops, visit the official Dr. Martens website.
