Carach Angren Embrace Silent Horror Aesthetics for "Franckensteina Strataemontanus" Music Video

Symphonic horror-metal masters Carach Angren have unveiled the haunting new music video for the song "Franckensteina Strataemontanus," which is taken from the band's 2020 studio album of the same name.

The video homages classic silent horror films like The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and The Phantom of the Opera, while adding a bit of Carach Angren's signature grotesque flair.

Ardek and Seregor comment on the video: "We hereby proudly present you the visual horror that is 'Franckensteina Strataemontanus!' Over the last few months, we worked with director Zoran Bihac and producer Julia Patey and their extraordinary team on galvanism and alchemy." They add, "Our endless gratitude goes out to everyone who has worked extremely hard to make this video possible, and an extra shout-out to Bonny Zahara for coming back to life!" ICYMI: Earlier this year, Carach Angren announced their collaboration with DC comics for the new series "Dark Nights: Death Metal." The first episode is out now and features the band's new song, "Skull with a Forked Tongue," which is taken from Franckensteina Strataemontanus.

Franckensteina Strataemontanus is out now via Season of Mist and can be streamed, downloaded, and/or purchased here.
