Darkotica, nestled in the heart of Cincinnati, OH, has made the most of the current state of affairs, hosting weekly livestreams featuring their resident DJs, as well as the occasional special guest in their usual Thursday night timeslot. Some weeks have been charity streams, raising money for nonprofits such as the Cincinnati Bail Fund.
Tonight, Darkotica hosts a very special event on Twitch, as Amelia Arsenic and Shiv-R will join the proceedings. Following both artists’ appearances on the Terminus Festival’s live streams, two of the biggest names of modern industrial join the “Quaranstream,” in an effort to raise money for arts and education programs geared towards BIPOC communities.
Resident DJs Stephen29 (29RED) and Nightpain will fill out the main event, with DJ Impossible hosting the after party for the night owls (and perhaps the super early risers, as well).
The stream begins at 9pm on Darkotica’s Twitch page. A fair warning to those who intend to watch on mobile devices: it may be necessary to refresh your app between sets, as each performer will be broadcasting from their own spaces.
