Dawn of Ashes Tackle Corruption, Police Brutality and Human Rights in "Sleep Paralysis" Music Video

"Truth within the lies. Society is a joke."

Over this past Halloween weekend, Los Angeles industrial metal artists Dawn of Ashes premiered their controversial new music video for "Sleep Paralysis," taken from the band's latest studio album The Antinomian.

The video places a spotlight on corruption, police brutality and human rights, while using elements of visual horror reminiscent of HR Giger, Zdzisław Beksiński and Clive Barker.

"Sleep Paralysis" harkens back to early '90s Industrial music, in the same vein as pioneers, Ministry and Skinny Puppy. In an era where it gained a reputation as music that spoke out against corruption.

The music video was directed by Christopher Lee Truman with visuals by Timothy Martin of Legacy Effects ("The Mandalorian", IT, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Avengers: Endgame).
