This week, the news broke that Poisonblack, once the side project of Sentenced singer/guitarist Ville Laihiala that turned into a powerhouse in the hard rock and metal world, are re-issuing two of their landmark records on vinyl. Transcending Records will be handling the re-releases of the band’s 2003 album Escapexstacy and 2006’s Lust Stained Despair, both of which were originally issued through Century Media Records.
As of August 2015, the band is on an indefinite hiatus, but during their first stint, they released six studio albums, and even received mainstream attention for their song “Exciter,” which was featured in an episode of the MTV series Viva La Bam.
The vinyl release for Escapexstacy is limited to a total of 1,000 copies, with roughly half of that total having sold as of this printing. The LPs are available in red or black splatter. The Lust Stained Despair vinyl is limited to 500 copies and has three choices: standard black, marble, and splatter. Pre-orders for these limited releases can be found in the links below.
