Horror games based on Lovecraftian lore have really exploded in popularity in recent years, and we absolutely love it! But publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer Stormling Studios have something a little different in the works with Transient, a game that claims to blend the works of H.P. Lovecraft with dystopian cyberpunk aesthetics!
Transient is due out for PC via Steam this October, with a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release to follow in 2021. Additionally, a brand new cinematic trailer was debuted at Gamescom and the game's demo is currently available for download on Steam.
The game takes place a distant, post-apocalyptic future, what remains of the population of mankind lives in an enclosed citadel called Domed City Providence, created to survive the harsh outside environment. In this, mankind's final refuge, Randolph Carter, a member of a notorious hacker-for-hire group called ODIN, accidentally stumbles across the terrifying truth, a truth that might tear apart his own sanity and lead him to question his very existence.
