Joe Lynch and Adam Green Return for Fifth Annual 48-Hour Live "Yorkiethon" on December 18th

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year—Ariescope’s annual Yorkiethon is here, baby!

For the fifth year in a row, the team at Ariescope Studios is putting together 48 hours of live entertainment to raise money for Save A Yorkie Rescue. Since the marathon’s inception in 2016, Yorkiethon guests have included Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th), Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw), Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects), and many, many more! The marathon includes live interviews, movie commentaries, table reads of previously unreleased scripts, musical performances, and other surprises!

The marathon runs December 18th-20th at Ariescope.com, and it is hosted by directors Adam Green (Hatchet, Digging Up the Marrow, “Holliston”) and Joe Lynch (Wrong Turn II, Everly, Mayhem). Just as in previous years, Arwen the Yorkie will host a silent auction where listeners can bid on a variety of special items donated by celebrity guests, such as signed memorabilia, one-of-a-kind merchandise, screen props, and other great swag.

How will Adam and Joe perform this amazing feat of caffeine-fueled endurance while obeying COVID-19 mandates, you ask? Read below for the official announcement!

"After such a difficult year we’re more excited than ever for Yorkiethon 5," says co-host Adam Green. "We’re going to end the dumpster fire that was 2020 on a high note by bringing our community together to save a whole bunch of dogs and we’re going to have a ton of fun doing it."

While the list of artists that appear during each year’s 48 hour Yorkiethon is always kept as a surprise, the hosts are looking at this year’s hurdle of social distancing as something positive. "Normally our mandate has been that all appearing guests during Yorkiethon must be in the studio with us," says co-host Joe Lynch. "However, with the pandemic eliminating that option, this year we have the opportunity to virtually bring on guests no matter where they happen to be located in the world physically."

To date The Movie Crypt’s annual Yorkiethons have raised well over $100,000 for the non-profit, volunteer dog Rescue that specializes in rescuing abandoned and abused Yorkshire Terriers.

Be sure to tune in at Ariescope.com on December 18th at 5 p.m. PST for 48 hours of non-stop fun! And during this tough time the whole world is facing, please remember to show generosity toward animals and support the Save A Yorkie Rescue
