KANGA Announces 'You And I Will Never Die' For March 2021 Release, Streams First Single "Godless"

Just a few short months since her signing to Artoffact Records, industrial pop powerhouse KANGA has her sights set on the first quarter of 2021. Just before putting on her most recent livestream performance, the one-woman army that has been endorsed by acts such as the legendary Gary Numan let slip that her second full-length album, entitled You And I Will Never Die, will release on March 26th. This marks KANGA’s second release on the label, her first being a re-issue of her EP Eternal Daughter.

In celebration of the announcement, KANGA then dropped her first single from the new LP, called “Godless.” Her vocals take their rightful place above the instrumentation, just a bit breathy, while still remaining calculated and confident. Sonically, the bass line is a catchy line in D, with plinking synth lines painting a rich soundscape common in what we heard on Eternal Daughter. The layers on the bridge’s vocals command attention, and add a bit of confrontation and directness to the overall product.

On the subject of commanding attention, the music video for “Godless,” directed by MJ Bernier, sees KANGA herself dancing in a barren field, lit only by a soft, dim strobe light and a less soft, less dim pair of headlights. The white attire against the mostly black backdrop creates a striking image, and puts all eyes on the singer and producer. Less really is more, as KANGA proves with this clip.

You And I Will Never Die drops on March 26th, 2021 via Artoffact Records. It was mixed by Justin McGrath and Brett Romnes, and mastered by Nick Townsend. KANGA herself wrote and performed the whole bloody affair.
