Look, it isn’t a new Left 4 Dead title, but I’m not gonna complain about it.
A new update for the massively popular zombie co-op action/horror game Left 4 Dead 2 has been announced, some eleven years after the initial release, and seven years after the last major update for the Valve classic. While it is, officially speaking, an official update, it is also a collaborative effort between the developers and the community, which speaks volumes about the loyalty of both.
The update has very few concrete details as of this printing, but the title of said update shares its name with one of the maps from the first game in the series, one that was not brought up to the sequel. Thus far, we only have this statement from the official Left 4 Dead blog...
It has been many years since the infection first hit. Radio silence, no sign of life, nothing but lingering hopes... CEDA is not going to save us. But there is hope! A few brave souls have continued the fight against all odds, and soon we can all benefit from their resilience.
