While it has been strange to hear someone the likes of Uncle Al himself talking about voting and civic duty, I will have to echo his sentiments of getting people to vote, regardless of who their candidates of choice may be. That’s been the strange thing about this election cycle, seeing celebrities who don’t indicate their political leanings one way or the other deciding that now is the time to get involved.
Hey, I’m here for it. But let’s step down from the political soapbox for now.
Al Jourgensen of Ministry is offering fans a once in a lifetime opportunity: the chance for their names to appear in the liner notes of Ministry’s next album! As a physical bonus, this opportunity comes with a set of five enamel pins, designed by What the What Pins and known as the “Uncle Al for President” set. Ranging from the scratch Ministry logo to the Uncle Al for President seal, these pins look properly cool, and can make a statement that may not get one side or the other called a snowflake.
Can’t win ‘em all, folks.
The new album is currently in progress, with the band’s last music coming this past April with “Alert Level (Quarantined Mix).” The band has spent the time they would have had touring for the thirtieth anniversary of The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste to bring industrial fans their fifteenth studio album, following 2018's AmeriKKKant. And with this set, fans can be a part of the process and be immortalized in Ministry history.
