Ahead of the release of his full-length SIMPLEAWESOMEFUCKEDUP, Monsieur Desastreux has released the first of five new songs from the album. “PUSH” is an upbeat electro track with plenty of aggression and energy behind it, with a persistent bass line and a classic dancing groove. It’s a welcome dance-floor-ready addition to Desastreux’s catalog, hitting that balance of simplicity and sonic smoothness.
The single for “PUSH” has a Forwards Beat Mix, which has a slightly faster pace and more electronic effects and flourishes. The maxi version of the song clocks in at nearly seven minutes, complete with longer instrumental passages and more layers of synths. The original mix is a fun track on its own, but the different mixes offer more to the composition as a whole.
