Motionless in White Release Two New "Motion Picture Collection" Mixes [Video]

Last summer, horror metalcore act Motionless in White released their standout fifth album Disguise to much fanfare. Adopting a more radio-ready sound for tracks such as the title track and “Brand New Numb,” with some anti-hero rage behind “Thoughts & Prayers” and “Headache,” the album peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums charts and number 27 on the Billboard 200.

In lieu of touring due to the current state of affairs, the band has instead taken two of their biggest recent hits, “Another Life” from Disguise and “Eternally Yours” from Graveyard Shift, and re-imagined them as soundtrack pieces. The “Motion Picture Collection” has called upon Kerli to help frontman Chris “Motionless” Cerulli on a new version of “Another Life,” while calling upon Crystal Joilena to assist with “Eternally Yours.”

Both songs are piano-driven, softer-spoken versions of two of the strongest, most accessible tracks in MIW’s catalog, and while I sincerely hope that more songs get the Motion Picture Collection treatment, I struggle to see which tracks could reasonably get this overhaul. To that end, will future albums lead to new mixes such as these? Time will tell, but for now, we have these to enjoy.
