Climbed up real high, now fall down real far.
Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor has always been an artist with a knack for encapsulating emotions of dread, anger, depression, etc. within his music - he's, quite possibly, one of the all-time greatest at doing so - and the band's recently released limited edition "Pandemic" shirt collection focuses on the social dissatisfaction many of us have felt during the shitshow that's been 2020.
"Nine Inch Nails presents the 2020 Pandemic Collection, available for a very limited time only" the band wrote on social media. "This collection of re-takes re-flects our anxiety and anger during this unprecedented time."
The collection features the "Mutation 2020" shirt, the "USAshamed 2020" shirt, the "Every Day Is Exactly the Goddamn Same" shirt, the "Broken 2020" shirt, and the "In This Together 2020" shirt. Their product descriptions perfectly capture much of the nation's emotions vividly, damning both COVID and politics with statements like, "Show the world 'you were there' when the empire fell! The colors eerily prescient for a nation on fire" and "Getting tired of predicting the future accurately." Additionally, each shirt features a back design, be it lyrics or a "NIN" logo.
The collection also featured an "In This Together 2020" baseball cap, but it has since sold out.
Preview the designs below and head on over to the Nine Inch Nails webstore to browse the collection. The band also ensures items will be delivered by the end of this month, just in time for November's sure-to-be controversial election.
