This past summer, we learned that Satanic tea company Pitch Black North partnered with English extreme metal icons Cradle of Filth for two special blends, the traditional English breakfast "Dark Blood" and the blueberry and vanilla-flavored "Sweetest Maleficia." Add to this blends like their Antichrist Pumpkin Spice, and many metal fans and heathens alike are hailing with a cuppa.
Now the Canadian purveyors have partnered with Swedish death metal supergroup Bloodbath for a tea latte powder ready to purge your system. Known as "Ominous Blood Vomit," this latte powder, named for the band's 2004 track, is made with beets, ginger, and cinnamon, and is intended for tea lattes made with a splash of water and your milk of choice.
Who knew that being sacrilegious could be so good for the body and the mind? And while I'm not a big fan of beets, the pictures suggest a lovely blood red for the finished tea latte, so perhaps I'll have to have a go with this gory regurgitation.
And while we're at it, add that phrase to "list of things I never thought I'd say, much less in the year 2020."
