Popcorn Frights Hosting One-Night-Only Screening of 'Fright Night' This July

The new neighbor keeps late hours... and has unusual appetites... and is very unfriendly.

Popcorn Frights is kicking off their "Summer of Screams" with a special one-night-only, Friday Night Frights presentation of Tom Holland’s glorious vampire thriller Fright Night on Friday, July 1st at 9pm at the Savor Cinema Fort Lauderdale.

"Don't miss our Summer of Screams one-night-only event featuring a special live performance by Infinite Abyss Productions," Popcorn Frights announced. "If you love being scared, it’ll be the night of your life!"

A crafty celebration of monster-flick fandom that also delivers everything those devotees want and then some, Fright Night is a revisionist valentine to the nostalgic spirit of classic horror, all wrapped up in 1980s excess courtesy of the director of the original Child's Play.

"Meet Jerry Dandrige. He's sweet, sexy, and he likes to sleep in late. You might think he's the perfect neighbor. But before inviting Jerry in for a nightcap, there's just one thing you should know. Jerry prefers his drinks warm, red and straight from the jugular!"

"It's Fright Night, a horrific howl starring Chris Sarandon as the seductive vampire and William Ragsdale as the frantic teenager struggling to keep Jerry's deadly fangs out of his neck. Only 17-year-old Charley Brewster (Ragsdale) knows Jerry's bloodcurdling secret. When Charley can't get anybody to believe him, he turns to TV horror host Peter Vincent (Roddy McDowall), who used to be the "great Vampire Killer" of the movies. Can these mortals save Charley and his sweetheart Amy (Amanda Bearse) from the wrathful bloodsucker's toothy embrace?"

Fright Night is now available on Blu-ray from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, including the fang-tastic three and a half hour documentary, You’re So Cool Brewster. Eureka Entertainment also released the film on Blu-ray in the UK.
