Power Trip Vocalist Riley Gale Has Passed Away

Power Trip Riley Gale Dead at 35

We've learned the incredibly sad news this afternoon that Power Trip frontman Riley Gale, a beloved and rising star in the metal community, passed away this morning at the far-too-young age of 34.

At this time, no cause of death had been revealed, but the following statement was issued via social media by Power Trip and the Gale family.

"Dear Power Trip fans worldwide,

It is with the greatest of sadness we must announce that our lead singer and brother Riley Gale passed away last night.

Riley was a friend, a brother, a son. Riley was both a larger than life rock star and a humble and giving friend. He touched so many lives through his lyrics and through his huge heart. He treated everyone he met as a friend and he always took care of his friends. We will celebrate Riley’s life and never forget the great works of music, charity, and love that he left behind. You, the fans, meant so much to him, please know how special you are. If you have a memory of Riley please share it, no matter how small, as we remember him.

Please respect our wishes for privacy during this time. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Dallas Hope Charities, the link to donate directly is here: https://bit.ly/3jcyY5y

Signed,

– Riley’s Loving Family

“P.S. Funeral and visitation arrangements are pending."

This is absolutely devastating news, as not only was Gale a charismatic, talented and outspoken voice in the world of metal, but the Dallas-based crossover thrash act Power Trip had seemingly just begun to gain traction as a force to be reckoned and an exciting up-and-coming act, even though the band has been around for quite some time now.

We're unsure what Gale's passing means for the future of the band, but at this time we'd like to extend our deepest sympathies to his family and friends. What a tragic loss.
