'Remothered: Broken Porcelain' Has Been Delayed to October 20th

Remothered: Broken Porcelain Delayed to October 20th

Last month, developer Stormind Games revealed an August 25th release date for their sequel to the Clock Tower-inspired survival horror game Remothered: Tormented Fathers. Unfortunately, we've learned Remothered: Broken Porcelain has now been pushed to an October 20th release.

Stormind, Modus and Darril Arts decided to delay the game’s release by two months in order to work out a few more kinks and deliver it in the best shape possible.

The full statement from Modus reads:

"A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of showcasing a first look at the gameplay of Remothered: Broken Porcelain during GamesRadar’s Future Games Show where we revealed that the game would be releasing on August 25.

However, after much consideration, we have reached a decision with Darril Arts and Stormind Games to delay Remothered: Broken Porcelain’s release to October 20th this year.

We are incredibly excited to invite you into this wonderfully realized chapter of the Remothered story, but it’s important that we deliver the experience you deserve. Having additional time for polish and to accommodate unanticipated longer timeframes due to the current global situation will help us do exactly that.

This also means that you’ll be able to explore the Ashmann Inn for the very first time during the spookiest time of the year, Halloween!

We cannot thank you enough for your patience and enthusiasm for Remothered: Broken Porcelain. We look forward to seeing your reactions when you play the game later this year."

As much as delays may suck, I'd much rather the developer deliver a quality, polished experience than a buggy piece of crap. Plus, horror games released around the Halloween season are alway welcome!

The sequel expands on the acclaimed, yet flawed cult classic Remothered: Tormented Fathers’ shocking narrative, reuniting players with Rosemary Reed and her tireless pursuit of truth while introducing a new heroine, Jennifer. Drawn to the troubled Ashmann Inn, Jennifer must master resourcefulness to survive the supernatural threats lurking around every corner, avoiding encounters whenever possible and desperately fending off death when stealth fails her.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
