With games like Song of Horror, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope and Remothered: Broken Porcelain all arriving this October, horror gaming fans will have plenty to keep them entertained throughout the spooky season, and we've now learned that the latter of the bunch will be arriving one week sooner!
Originally slated for release on October 20th, Remothered: Broken Porcelain will now creep its way onto PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch on October 13th.
According to Shane Bierwith, EVP of global marketing at Modus Games, the release date bump was made because October "is an incredibly busy month for games, particularly horror games. While moving dates forward isn’t common, we’d like to allow horror fans to get their hands on Broken Porcelain early so players can have more time to experience all the great games releasing around Halloween."
Remothered: Broken Porcelain is the sequel to the critically lauded Remothered: Tormented Fathers. Featuring new gameplay and narrative elements, creator Chris Darril’s Remothered: Broken Porcelain will "pull fans into an incredibly immersive and haunting experience sure to be one of 2020’s most unforgettable releases."
The game's synopsis reads, "After her expulsion from an all-girls boarding school, the rebellious Jen suffers an injury attempting to escape from the Ashmann Inn, where she was sent to serve as one of its maids. Together with her new friend and fellow maid, a timid violinist named Linn, Jen slowly becomes aware of the manor's unsettling history. As the two girls begin to observe strange occurrences involving the inn's residents, a haunting figure lurking within the halls, and an ominous presence from inside the hotel, the duo must escape from their prison with the truth...and their lives. Meanwhile, the enigmatic Rosemary Reed encounters an old nemesis, the since disfigured owner of the Ashmann Inn, in her continued search for Celeste Felton - a young girl who vanished years before under unexplainable circumstances. Closer to the answers she seeks than ever before, Reed will uncover everyone's role in this twisted plot, for better or worse."
