Rockstar Brings Spooky New Content and Undead Mode to 'Red Dead Redemption 2' for Halloween Event

While it may be far from what fans were hoping for *cough* Undead Nightmare 2 *cough*, Rockstar has welcomed the spooky season with a new Halloween Pass for Red Dead Redemption 2, which brings bountiful tricks and treats alike to Red Dead Online.

The Halloween Pass is a purchasable, limited-time upgrade stacked with macabre rewards across 20 ranks, available today running through November 16th. So you'll have plenty of time to snag these spooky new items throughout the Halloween season and beyond.

The Halloween Pass includes the Skeletal Zavala Machete, Flayed Bison and Painted Ram Horse Masks, Spooky Photo Studio Backgrounds, a Gothic Decor Theme for your Moonshine Bar, the Gallows Blindfold and much more!

But the most notable addition to the Halloween Pass is the addition of the limited-time Dead of Night mode, which pits four teams in a gruesome fight for survival - against each other and The Dead. Points are scored for taking out The Dead, with higher point tally for causing the demise of your rival players. Find and steal a Night Stalker mask to take on supernatural abilities and the competitive edge.

The Halloween event also adds two new legendary animals - a pair of panthers. The spotted Nightwalker Panther blends in with its surrounding vegetation in the mist and shadows of dusk near Bolger Glade; the albino Ghost Panther, meanwhile, has been seen hunting deer in Bluewater Marsh and the surrounding areas.

You can visit the Rockstar blog for more details on the inaugural Halloween Pass.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
