Soccar Sensation 'Rocket League' Features 'Ghostbusters' in Halloween "Haunted Hallows" Event

It’s that time of year for video games, and as far as Halloween events, this one is a little out of left field, but not nearly as much as the Call of Duty: The Haunting of Verdansk special that was announced earlier this week. Beginning today, players of the soccar (no, that’s not a typo) smash hit game Rocket League can take part in a “Haunted Hallows” event, which will run through November 2nd. The seasonal showcase will feature unique game modes, loads of collectibles, and some familiar faces for those well-versed in Proton Packs.

That’s right, who you gonna call?

Front and center for “Haunted Hallows” is Ghostbusters, as different customizables will be available as rewards for challenges, all the way up to the iconic Ecto-1 being featured in the in-game store once again. Also available for purchase are customization sets such as the Stay Puft collection, modeled after the marshmallowy menace from the first film. Golden Pumpkins can also be earned, which will unlock pieces from the Turbo, Nitro, and Vindicator series.

The two new game modes include Haunted Heatseeker, a variation on the existing Heatseeker mode but in darker, spookier locales, and the Spike Rush, which will also feature on nighttime maps. For the full breakdown of the event, check out the official Rocket League blog.
