The Final Card for NXT 'New Year's Evil' is Set, With a Return and Another Title Match Added

The first show of the new year for WWE NXT is set to be New Year’s Evil, following in the footsteps of October’s Halloween Havoc as a special episode of television. Boasting a TakeOver-level card, the new episode will air this Wednesday, January 6th, and is set to feature five matches, with one of them having just been announced last night on NXT. This is going head to head with night one of AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash, which has its own supercard to boast, but that’s for another article.

Currently, the card for New Year’s Evil is as follows:

NXT Champion Finn Balor vs. Kyle O’Reilly

NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar vs. Gran Metalik

Damian Priest vs. Karrion Kross (w/ Scarlett)

Last Woman Standing Match: Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Gonzalez

Fight Pit Match: Tommaso Ciampa vs. Timothy Thatcher

Xia Li and Boa will also make their return to the brand, though no match or segment has been formally announced.

NXT New Year’s Evil will broadcast on the USA Network on Wednesday, January 6th, 2021, beginning at 8pm EST. The show will be available on-demand next day for WWE Network subscribers.
