While they're hard at work on applying some finishing touches to their highly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077, which arrives this November, CD Projekt Red isn't quite done with their previous masterpiece, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
The developer announced this week that the third entry in the beloved Witcher franchise will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X. Even better, it'll be available as a free upgrade to those who already own the game on current consoles.
PC players will also be receiving the beefed up version of the game, free to those who already own it as well. Of course, if you don't already own The Witcher 3 (What the hell is your problem?!), the next-gen version will be available to purchase as a standalone title.
CD Projekt Red states that the upgraded game will feature a range of visual and technical improvements — including ray tracing and faster loading times — across the base game, both expansions, and all extra content.
There is currently no release date for the next-gen edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but it's expected to arrive sometime next year.
