The infamous and deadly hunter is gearing up to return to the big screen, as we've learned that 20th Century Studios has ordered up a brand new entry in the Predator franchise!
Deadline reports Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) is currently being "engaged" to direct the new movie, and while plot details are currently under wraps, the film reportedly won't be connected to Shane Black's recent entry The Predator.
The site notes, "They are keeping the plot line under wraps for the moment, but I’m told it won’t swing back to the developments in the most recent film."
Trachtenberg also took to Twitter over the weekend to let us know that the film was supposed to remain a secret and has been in the works for nearly 4 years!
The script is being written by Patrick Aison ("Kingdom", "Jack Ryan").
This marks the first Predator film under the 20th Century Studios following Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
The Predator franchise began in 1987 and currently includes four feature films - Predator, Predator 2, Predators and the aforementioned 2018 film, as well as two Alien vs. Predator spinoff films.
