Sony just announced they will release Nicolas Pesce's The Grudge into theaters on August 16th, 2019. It will probably be quite some time before a trailer is released but we'll keep you posted!
In the meantime, what are you're thoughts on the film receiving yet another remake? I personally trust in everything that Sam Raimi is a part of, so I have high hopes.
This iteration of The Grudge will be directed by Nicolas Pesce, who directed 2016's The Eyes of My Mother. The cast thus far consists of Andrea Riseborough, Lin Shaye, and John Cho.
A Ghost House Pictures film, The Grudge reboot is being produced by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, along with Nathan Kahane, Erin Westerman, Schuyler Weiss, Roy Lee, Doug Davison, John Middleton, and Andrew Pfeffer. The movie is expected to begin filming this May in the Winnipeg area.
