Family Requires Sacrifice In 'Housewife', On Digital And DVD This October


RLJE Films have announced they will release Can Evrenol's (Baskin) Housewife on VOD, Digital and DVD on October 2nd, 2018.

In the film, "Holly (Clementine Poidatz) has been haunted by a horrific childhood trauma for twenty years and struggles with vivid, disturbing nightmares that leave her detached and unable to live a normal life. Then an old friend recommends Holly meet with charismatic cult leader Bruce O’Hara (Sakurai), and she is led on a twisted journey of waking dreams that will begin to unravel the fabric of reality and reveal the truth about Holly’s family… a terrifying destiny."

Housewife had its world premiere at L’Etrange Festival in France and was an official selection at the SITGES International Film Festival, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival and the Vancouver, Portland and Denver International Film Festivals, winning “Best Director” award at Melbourne’s MonsterFest.

Director Can Evrenol co-wrote the script with Cem Özüduru (Gul). The film also stars David Sakurai (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), Alicia Kapudag (The Two Faces of January), Ali Aksöz (“Medcezir”), and Defne Halman (“Içerde”).
